Meet Acronym’s Mateo Suarez

Marketing Intern

When did you join Acronym?

In July of this year! (2017)

What is your title at Acronym and which clients do you work for?

I’m currently working as an Intern on the Marketing team.

What are your specific responsibilities?

I help the Marketing team with the cool initiatives in store for Acronym. This includes things like managing the Empire Cam, finding credible awards for us to win, and conferences or events for us to attend or sponsor.

What do you consider the most interesting things you do at work?

Honestly everything is interesting to me! My “world” may have roots in art, fashion, and design, but I consider myself lucky to be gaining an inside view on aspects of marketing I never thought about before. I want to absorb as much as I can in my time here!

What do you like to do best when you are not working?

I’ve always loved to draw and create. When I get home though, the only things I’m creating are excuses to not make art (I’m half kidding). These excuses often manifest themselves in the form of anime and/or RuPaul’s Drag Race, lately though, it’s been Stranger Things 2, playing Final Fantasy 14: The Zodiac Age, or hanging out with my friends.

You are going on vacation to a place where there is no Internet connection. What book or magazine would you bring with you?

My sketchbook and Volume 21 of Claymore: 魔女の屍, Majo no Shikabane (Corpse of the Witch)

What do you consider the most interesting things you do at work?

The most interesting thing is trying to set all the client specificities in just one parametrized ETL job.

What do you like to do best when you are not working?

I have a lot of hobbies, but I think what I like most is going to the ocean with my daughter.

You are going on vacation to a place where there is no Internet connection. What book or magazine would you bring with you?

I’m not sure because I have no time to read lately since I spend most of my time being a dad, but I’m not complaining!

Meet Acronym’s Jaclyn O’Connor

Business Development Coordinator

When did you join Acronym?

I joined Acronym on September 20, 2017!

What is your title at Acronym and which clients do you work for?

My title is Business Development Coordinator.

What are your specific responsibilities?

I qualify new business from inbound sales and marketing leads and develop ideal customer profiles to improve inbound qualification efforts.

What do you consider the most interesting things you do at work?

As I’m still learning the ins and outs of Acronym, I’ve found it so intriguing how fast technology is evolving and the steps that Acronym takes to keep up with the constant change in order to best satisfy our clients. I look forward to being a part of that!

What do you like to do best when you are not working?

When I’m not working I love to travel, especially around Europe. I spend a majority of my summers down the shore in Belmar or LBI. I love college football and spend every football Saturday watching Penn State, and I’m a huge Yankees fan so I try to watch them every chance I get.

You are going on vacation to a place where there is no Internet connection. What book or magazine would you bring with you?

My favorite books are Tuesdays with Morrie and The Five People You Meet in Heaven, both by Mitch Albom. I’ve already read both of them more than once and would definitely read them over again, but the chances of me ever going on a vacation without Internet connection are extremely slim!

Meet Acronym’s Ratchany Vang

PPC Analyst

When did you join Acronym?

I joined Acronym on July 24th.

What is your title at Acronym and which clients do you work for?

I am a PPC Analyst. Currently, I mainly work on New York Presbyterian and BMW but will eventually be taking on working with more clients.

What are your specific responsibilities?

I execute the day-to-day tasks for paid search campaigns, which includes creating, maintaining, optimizing, and pacing campaigns as well as weekly client calls and reporting.

What do you consider the most interesting things you do at work?

Paid Search is constantly changing and there’s always something new to learn whether it is a new tool, new user behaviors or a new engine all together so the most interesting aspect of my work is taking those new learnings and applying it to campaigns to optimize and improve performance.

What do you like to do best when you are not working?

I like to do everything and nothing. Sometimes, I explore NYC, hang out with friends, or travel. Other times, I just relax at home with a good book or binge watch Netflix and criminal mystery shows.

You are going on vacation to a place where there is no Internet connection. What book or magazine would you bring with you?

I probably wouldn’t read on vacation so I would bring a travel guide of that vacation spot and explore what the place had to offer. Plus, they usually have maps and list transportation from one place to another so I wouldn’t get too lost. I’m really bad with directions!
