Tami – I agree with you on this one. The dirty little secret in the web analytics business is that a lot of “real time” data is delayed by hours & days. And for good reason – it is really tough to go back and ping every website, blog, message board or social media profile that you might care about every minute. You get shut down if you try because you look like some hack attack. Also, most scraping engines go back to a site infrequently to check for comments, which make up at least 50% of the online material out there. From what I’ve seen, http://www.Boardreader.com is probably the “most” real-time you can get.
